Award winning chef and owner, Fredy Mayer, brings his
many years of experience in the worlds finest restaurants and
hotels to Sarasota. Training began very early for Fredy born
to a food oriented heritage. His mother, an accredited professional
chef, and his father, a master butcher, operated their own butcher
shop and restaurant. Formerly trained as a pastry chef in Europe,
he apprenticed in some of the world's best known kitchens. He
was Chef Patissier at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados. For
25 years, Fredy oversaw the kitchens at the prestigious Manor
Restaurant in West Orange, NJ. He moved to Sarasota in 1997
and was Corporate Executive Chef at the Longboat Key Club. Finally
opening his own restaurant in June, 2000. He is a Member of
the Chaine des Rotisseurs and International Geneva
Association. |
